1st adjustment-before and after *PICS*

#1 Post by skintz »

Well, i'm scared to post these cos i hate my teeth so much, but i figure that we're all in the same boat :) So i thought i'd post them and see what you all think of my progress. The photos on the left were taken on 9th June 2007 after i got braced, and the right hand photos were taken yesterday (17th August 2007)
**Please excuse the yellowness of my teeth, its my tea drinking
habit :( **

Is this quick movement or normal for most people? I'm secretly hoping i'll be done sooner than two years! +\+

Your progress is awesome especially if you just had your first adjustment! You will have some slow periods of hardly anything moving, i've had months of it already.

Your teeth are really looking good, skintz! That's terrific progress. Isn't it fun when you can detect that sort of correction?

I lot of folks seem to report a good deal of movement early, especially during the first stage when the teeth are being aligned. As ghost points out, you probably won't see this degree of movement all the time -- but slow and steady is what you want :D

Congratulations and continued progress to you :!:

I agree. Starting off your teeth can move quite rapidly. Mine sure have. But then things start to slow down when it's time to align them.

Wow....excellent movement! Orthodontia amazes me!
I've had a great deal of movement with my upper arch for the short time i've been braced too. It's amazing how braces work. :D

Your teeth have made great progress. Its nice when that happens so quickly as a zig zag archwire tends to make our teeth look really crooked for the first few months.

Thanks for your comments guys, its made me feel really good about my progress. It is really exciting to see they've actually moved, its great! When i first had my braces put on and my archwire was all crooked, i was so upset-i didn't smile for ages cos you could really see how wonky my teeth were. But now its straight, i smile all the time! :D I'm so proud to be sorting my teeth out, finally!
