Last night I dreamt that I woke up from a night of sleep and all of my upper brackets had detached from the teeth ! So I removed them along with the arch wire and then was in a panic thinking that my teeth would quickly move into an even worse position than they are now ! Making matters worse, I was out of town visiting my parents so didn't have access to my orthodontist !

I'm wondering what other nightmares are in store for me. I'm sure some of you have had similar nightmares. I suppose the orthognathic surgery people have had some bad ones !

I never had a dream about braces yet( probably because I will not get mine on until Sept 19th). I do however have another type of tooth related dream. I constantly dream that my teeth are falling out. It is the weirdest/ scariest thing. In my dream I am talking and all of a sudden I feel something small and hard. I spit it out and notice it's my tooth!!!! At first I think that it's OK (it's only one right?), but then it keeps happening. It freaks me out soo bad. I wake up making sure my teeth are all still there. Crazy, I know!

I have had a few braces-related dreams. The best one was where my braces slid (unaided) off my teeth into a pile of junk in my mouth, leaving my teeth flapping in the breeze.

I've had several brace-related dreams, most of them end up with either my brace falling apart or my teeth falling out (all of them).

LOL !!!! It's really amazing what the mind comes up with. And it all seems so incredibly real.

Maybe this will be a good thing for me, perhaps braces nightmares will replace my current repertoire: dangling elevator (always at some severe 45+ degree angle) and carpet of worms.

Yep ive had a few weird dreams concerning my braces.

Same sort of stuff really, braces falling off, or teeth falling out, so weird that your brain processes information in this way.

Most of the dreams for me were in the early months, so i wonder if it was because i was in some discomfort from them at night?
