Impressions on brace day?

Hi all!
I am getting my braces on tomorrow morning. I've had the consult, photos, x-rays, etc... but they have never done impressions. Will they do them tomorrow morning? Do they always have to do impressions?
My case is pretty simple, my bite is fine, I am just getting them to close some gaps, mainly between my two front teeth on top. My treatment time is estimated at 11 months.
