Hey guys, havent been on for ages but got some great news, I am heading off on my OE in December and had expected to have my braces on for about 9 months of my travel, instead my ortho has told me i will get them off before i go! I am stoked, but a lil nervous that it might be a lil early, im scared that he just wants all my money as i pay in instalments... has anyone else been given great/nerve racking news like this???

appreciate any comments. :D

hey there

I guess thats the most exciting news you could recive!

I could not imagine my OE in NZ in braces... not that i have even expiriences with braces at home till 19. Nov - but since i thinking about the impact on "my life as usal" - i would have no good idea how to manage appointments and so on when i finished the language school and started traveling around

10 different orthodontist around the country working on your braces - by a prescription of your ortho at home. All appointments planned ahead, sound like a bad idea for me and even worse me traveling as your braces likes.

I have this funny picture in my mind - Me on this small Fiji island - no tab water, every thing messed up with sand, no proper mirror - trying to pick out the fibers of the pinnaples we had 3 times a day to every meal on our table :-D - was already hard to handle day contactlenses...

All the best for your OE - for me, it was the best time in my life! and you can enjoy it with a new smile.

Greetings from Switzerland
