sorry for this iky question! I had two teeth removed yesteday (one upper molar and one lower molar) in the lower molar hole i have this horrible white stuff, it looks kinda like pus (sorry!) that covers the top of the hole.
there is nothing like this in the upper hole, can anyone tell me if this is normal, or should i be worried!
my gums around the sites are still quite swollen and sore , roughly how long will that take to go down and go back to normal?
Not sure if it's puss, it may just be your gums starting to heal. Try some warm salt water rinses or warm diluted mouthwash rinse. If it gets worse, I'd call the office.
Upper and lower 1st premolars extracted
Uppers braced 4/6/07 & Lowers braced 4/20/07
ceramic brackets and rectangular arch wires
Est. term: 30-36 months
De-banded: 3/04/09 w/ LBR and U&L Essix
THe white stuff is a good thing! it means that its healing. Just make sure not to pick at it as you can burst the blood cot. I just got 4 extractions done this pass friday and i am currently in the same situation. =)
I also just had 4 extractions, and had totally the same experience with my lower two extractions. I think it's either dead cells (which sloughs off as the wound heals) or food bits. Either way I found it impossible to dislodge without actually going in there with something, and I think it's actually really harmless so there's not much point risking dislodging the blood clot. In any case, everything healed up fine for me, so I think you're probably going to be ok as well.
hello again, thanx for all your advice...and of course you were all right, its just the healing process. I popped into the dentist today and she had a quick look, she said everythings fine and not to worry!
Ok so mine apparently healed good but i dislodges the scar tissue. What will happen???? Will i still get a dry socket im so stressed and worried now please help
