My teeth are clicking, is that bad? Let me explain...

#1 Post by Betho »

I've been in my Damon's for 5 days now and I can definately tell there's been some movement so far and my teeth still feel loose in their sockets as I've expected.

One thing I've noticed, especially in the last day or so, is that when I clench my teeth together some of my teeth "click" or "squeak" and seem to move ever so slightly. Is this normal? I don't want to screw anything up. I mean, it feels kinda good cuz some of the pressure is momentarily relieved when I clench my teeth and most of the time I do it subconsciously.

I think I'm just being paranoid but wanted to see if others have experienced something similar. It just feels really funny and I want to make sure I'm not inhibiting my treatment with a potential bad habit (as if I need one this early!!!)

Thanks!

I sometimes hear this too, it's nothing to worry about as KK stated above! It's your teeth moving, yay!! :D

It's the periodontal ligament loosening up. It's perfectly normal. And seriously addictive. I can't help but purposefully do it when my teeth are in a state of transition. Sorta like, the bubblewrap in your mouth!
