I got a naked tooth...**^^**

#1 Post by turrrtlelove22 »

About two weeks ago I noticed a lump on my gums that hurt like crazy. I waited a weej thinking it would just go away...not the case...my dr. mom said it might be an abscess. So I went to the dentist and they said it wasn't and that it might be something stuck in the braces. The dentist wanted the band off to give it time to heal. When I went to the orthodontist...it bled so badly when the band came off and she scraped the tooth. So it's been off for like a week now...I used some Peroxyl ...BLEH>>>>>never again...the salt water rinses ...much easier to handle...

But anywho...I got a naked tooth...about 6 more months til I see more naked teeth!!!...

Thanks :D ...it actually healed completely in less than a week. I was kind of on the fence as to whether I should call the othodontist and say something or just wait until next week when my appt. is. The swelling, redness and soreness is completely gone and has been for some time. I thought 2 weeks was a little too long. I noticed the other day the space where the band was is getting smaller, not dramatically but noticeably...

I'm just happy that it healed so well and quickly... :D :D :D
