Gee I remember that happening to me, too. :(

I kept getting sores on my lower left side only. They never seemed to stop. They would go stop for a few months and then one would pop up for what seemed like no reason. In fact, even the last week that I was braced I got one. Salt water rinses didn't really do anything, for me, to prevent this. Whether I rinsed or not, I got them with the same frequency. My sore spots were caused by brackets chafing.

I just kept wax handy and eventually I got the brackets off and all went back to normal.

my lower left is the last area attached, closed, "tightened" and always seems to have the longest wire end...I am always asking the tech to clip it closer please. Have a look and see if that isn't the issue.

I still get irritated areas during certain times. i never used salt rinses. I have used wax on occasion for pokey wires etc. I dont think everyone actually gets to the point of no irritation.
