upper and bottom teeth

Is that normal that my upper teeth should touch my bottom teeth when i chew my food? My braces is about 1 1/2 year and it is almost done. yesterday i got an adjustment that finally shows no more gaps. But now when i eat food, i feel like the upper teeth touching the bottom teeth. Are they right?????
