Having braces removed

#1 Post by daviddavid »

I'm guessing this is an American messageboard, but I'm in Scotland and just wondering a couple of things. I've got braces just now and have no upper gaps anymore, and no visible gaps on my lower teeth. So basically I'm sick of the gaps and want them removed and for various reasons I'm going to go private instead of my current NHS.

How exactly do they remove the braces, and do you have any what kind of money it would cost me? I know the health system is completely different over there but I'm just looking for ideas.

They removed mine with this tool that sort of looked like what they pierce ears with, he just clamped it around the bracket and when he squeezed the handle the bracket just came off.

I mean all my ligs were taken off of my uppers, and the archwire removed. I'm still wearing the lowers til Jan 22, 08 im trying to get two teeth straighter. Otherwise they would have been off this past tuesday.

My molar bands i had he just clipped them and they come right off.

They come off a lot quicker than they go on! Relatively painless popping them off, too.
