What do u do with braces to prevent grinding at night? HELP!

#1 Post by kathd101 »

Hi,

I grind my teeth pretty badly at night and am not getting much sleep since I got my braces on. I can't wear my mouthguard at night any more. What can I do so I don't grind all night?

They tried ramps to stop me from being able to bite down, but there were so horrible I had them taken out.

Have you had this problem? What did you do?

Thanks tons in advance.

I use one of those soft inexpensive sports mouth guards. Don't boil, just trim off the chin strap. Works well for me. Good luck!
