i noticed i have 2 loose brackets and my appointment is not until feb. should i call or wait until my appointment to get them fixed? they are not bothering me only that i know they are broken. what do yall think?

You should call. If the bracket isn't fixed to the tooth, then it isn't doing anything and your tooth might move out of line.
I broke a bracket off just a week before an appt and my ortho still got me to come in to have it fixed.

Give your ortho a call. The broken brackets need to be repaired. If they are broken, how can they move your teeth!

Yes! Defintely go and see your ortho asap! My bracket detached from my tooth and that tooth moved so far out of line by the time of my next appointment (about 2 weeks). And I got a ticking off for waiting so long!!! I would have gone sooner had I have known that was the problem. I'll be callling him on monday as I think it may have happened again, just wish I could tell for sure. But don't wait, you'll undo all the hardwork.

first bracket became loosse during new years weakend. i call the orto office and they told me i could wait untill my appt in feb. they said it would not make a difference and i could wait. well i was not comfortable with that answer. anyway now i noticed antoher loose bracket. but i will call again monday and try and talk them into letting me go int to fix them. im not comfortable about waiting until feb.

I had no idea my bracket had come off and I wondered why my front tooth had moved so much. Blonde or what!! I left it and my ortho wasn't happy, he said he wished I'd gone back as soon as I'd noticed it. My bracket is definitely off tonight and I shall be in there on monday morning. Why don't you turn up and ask to see him? Afterall what use is a bracket on a tooth when it isn't attached to anything?
