My teeth stopped being tender with the elastics fairly soon. I was told to take them out for meals and brushing so basically 3 times a day. I got lazy and just kept them in for meals. I told the ortho and he didn't have a problem with that, he preferred me to wear them all the time. None the less, my bite has closed up some after I stopped using the rubberbands and so far I've been without them for a month or two.
Upper and lower 1st premolars extracted
Uppers braced 4/6/07 & Lowers braced 4/20/07
ceramic brackets and rectangular arch wires
Est. term: 30-36 months
De-banded: 3/04/09 w/ LBR and U&L Essix

what about tenderness in the front teeth it seems i cant bite down on anything without discomfort and i have to cut my food and put it in the back of my mouth.
