Question

#1 Post by braceface101 »

When i started my journey, my ortho told me that it would take 18-22 months, but my teeth have moved pretty quickly, do you think they will come off any faster?

I mean my teeth are straight now, the only thing i can remember is that i have to get elastics to attempt to fix my midline on the bottom arch.

at my last appt. he said everything looked great! and thats all he said, well that and come back in 5 weeks.... :?

sometimes it will actually seem like your journey is done and everything is fixed, but i guess it really isn't. This has happened to me a bunch of times at the ortho office. But, if your teeth are truly looking straight and together, then im sure your journey might end a bit sooner possibly. But don't quote me on this!
Best of luck!

Oh I've got a 30-36 month sentence and my ortho was also surprised at how quickly my teeth moved. I'm thinking of asking him what my timeframe looks like now that it's been 10 months. Best of luck to you too! Hopefully our speedy teeth will have an early release.

It is definitely possible to be freed early, as I was quoted 18 months and was released after 14.5 months for good behavior, and compliant teeth. but also remember that there are other things that need to happen before you are ready to be freed. Just because your teeth are straight doesn't imply that you are finished.
