Hi everyone, just thought I'd let you know that today is extraction day! In four hours i'm geeting my 2 upper premolars out, which is, I feel, officially the beginning of my little journey to the perfect smile. I am looking forward to getting the braces on on Monday, but this is the day I have been dreading. I am not very strong when it comes to this type of thing, but since the only alternative is to cancel the braces and regret it forever, I know what I have to do. Wish me luck!!!!

Good Luck Lola. I have my extractions in three weeks.

hope everything goes well!!! I'm supposed to get 2 of my extractions done tomorrow then i only have one to go! I'm nervous and everything too, as i don't really like the idea of getting extractions...plus i wouldve have braces about 5 times over by now had things not kept happening and i had to cancel every time! It is so annoying! Crazy thing is i really don't feel too well today either, but i'm completely praying that i feel better by tomorrow b/c i am not cancelling again!! GRR!! This means like 2 weeks til b-day!! WOOT!!!!
Let us know how it goes as i'm pretty nervous about it!

well it's now 5 hours since you posted, so I'm guessing it's all over! Hope it went OK.

Hi guys, got the teeth extracted and am now (half) braced. The extractions were awful really! After numbing me the dentist said that my premolars were so long that extracting them may leave a hole between my mouth and sinus' that he's have to stitch up. I nearly passed out when he said it, but luckily it was not the case. Although they weren't sore, it was pretty stressful as one person held my head while the dentist tried to get the teeth out. It took ages! Afterwards however, there was no pain, and I was eating fine in a day or two. Got the braces on yesterday on top teeth only, and am feeling good!
