I'm freaking out right now!! I've never lost a lig before! It was on my upper right second premolar. It came off when I was brushing. I came out in one piece broken. At first I thought it was a piece of food. I think my mom will call them tomorrow. My next appointment is March 18th so I don't think it's such a great idea to wait that long. What do I do? Thanks in advance!! I'll post a picture later if I can. I know teeth without ligs can move distances in short amounts of time.

I'd get your mum to phone your ortho and ask, but don't worry too much. The wire is still through the bracket slot isn't it? It's not like having a bracket pop off allowing the tooth to wander unrestrained. I lost a lig one time and my ortho just said to leave it till next time I went, unless I noticed any untoward movement.

I totally agree. Ive had my ligs come off too..come to think of it (checks mouth...) I dont have one in right now but the wire is still where it needs to be so I wont fret.

Don't sweat it. But just in case, do call the ortho. One fell off of a back tooth, but it wasn't one that needed to move much.

Yes, Lisa it still is in the bracket slot. I was just talking to my mom on the phone- she was still at work. She's going to call them to see what they say. I'll post back with what they say.

She called them. He's away until March 3. She got me an appointment for March 4.
