He may have done it on purpose, maybe? My ortho did stuff with my brackets and ligs on purpose that puzzles me , but since he's the professional with 20 yrs experience I assume he knows what he's doing. Not that I'm saying your ortho isn't capable of oversights or small errors like forgetting a lig, but it's likely there's an explanation to why he did something. My ortho is good in that he'll explain everything he's doing, particularly if it's something he anticipates me asking about later.

a forgotten lig is not that much of a problem, learning it the hard way by bothering so many people. =p

If you have a question like that, it's worth it to give your ortho a call. We can speculate about your case, but your ortho will know exactly if it's a problem or not.

Good luck!

P.S. I had a Damon door left open accidentally once and it started to irritate my lip. When I called and told them about the problem, I was in there the next day to get it fixed.

Not that it makes much of a difference, but it could also have popped of by itself. Happened to me recently.

He's close to my office, so I just stopped by and got it fixed. They used now ligature wire which is more stable.
