Hi, I'm new here, I am getting braces in about a month, had 2 upper premolars removed thursday 20th March 2008
I already got the metal bands on my molars on march 17th, but on the upper left side there are 2 teeth behind the band. The others just have one tooth behind them.
Do these teeth behind the bands get brackets too?
Usually anything behind the molar bands do not get anything put on. However, on some cases the ortho might bond a molar tube directly onto the 2nd molars, depending on the case.
Me personally, I only have bands on each of my 1st molars, nothing behind that.
I have my 2nd molars on the wire, because they had to be moved. I have brackets on the bottom 2nd molars, and bands on the top. I didn't get them done until the 2nd or 3rd adjustment though, so you might get yours done yet.
