Well, i went for my retainer today for my lowers and the ortho said that i will get my tops off on my next appointment. As some of you might know i've been trying to articulate the issues i have with my top brace with my ortho for quite a while now and it's been like bashing my head against a wall. Well, when he said the tops will be removed on the next appt i could'nt be bothered to fight any longer so just nodded and went with it. I probably will regret it and in time think it was a major waste of time, but when ive been to six consecutive appt and tried to argue my case and nothings been done, it's time to call it a day.

The teeth won't be anything like i wanted, but they are better than when i started i suppose. I will probably post the final pictures when they are finally removed soon.

Your ortho works for you, not the other way around. Why are you letting HIM win?? Hello, this is something you will have to deal with for the rest of your life --- you are just another mouth in his office, so make him do what you want!! Don't give up!!!

I do understand what you are saying, but as i said earlier, i've adressed this issue with the ortho for a long time now and he keeps giving the same responses. If i kept it up it would start getting silly and we would both be going around in circles. But i do get what people will be saying, because to an outsider it seems that i am giving up without questioning, but i assure you i have questioned and questioned and it just doesn't get anywhere.

I am in my final year of University, just about to achieve my degree so i don't have anytime to go to higher authorities etc. The only saving grace i have is that, in reality my teeth do look much better than they did before i started out...even though they are not straight.

Many Thanks
