Update the journey has truly begun

Thanks all for the replies regarding my spacers. I got them on last week and yep they are a PITA. My teeth feel a bit squished, one of the spacers actually popped off this morning, but there is not much I can do about that. Soup, yoghurt and potato & gravy have been my staple diet over the last few days. I am determined to eat a curry and rice tonight before the braces go on.

My braces go on tomorrow and I am a little nervous. From what I have read it is a good idea to have a few pain killers first, a small meal before I go and some lip balm on my lips or something to that effect. Any other suggestions for things that have helped please feel free to post I can surely use it to calm the nerves. I dont have to go back to work on the same day which is great. I am working the following day and then have the 2 days after off, so a little bit of time to get used to it all I think will come in handy.
I will get my partner to take some pics tonight and will definitely post the photos soon.
Thanks again for the replies.

drink lots of water, and I took my ipod in with me to relax me a bit while getting my brackets in. Also wax, wax, wax where ever you have a sore spot. Toughing it out is so not worth it.
