Aargh this is an eternity!

I'm getting my braces off on May 16th, a full 31 days from now. When I first got the news I figured it wouldn't take long but jesus it's all that I'm thinking about and it's taking forever for the calendar to move. I want to have doctors induce a coma or something and revive me the morning of the sixteenth because the wait is just maddening.

Aw you are lucky Hawaiian poi dog. Best wishes for 16th!

I just got my braces a week ago and I know that I'm going to be similarly anxious when my turn to be debraced arrives (approx 2 years or so).

Enjoy all the crunchy, sticky, yummy foods you can NOW --- while you are still crooked and naked! I got my braces the day after consult, so I didn't get this luxary and now I am waiting for my debanding (which will be about a year away, at the latest).

I know the feeling of it seeming like an eternity before debanding date! I'll never forget the first time I had them removed at 13, how that last week seemed like months!

It's funny because once you have 'em off you'll sometimes still be compelled to avoid certain foods, etc, and then realizing, hey, wait, those are no big deal now!

Congrats on the 16th!!!

*wave* Hi, fellow Hawaiian citizen! :D I'm jealous that you're so close to the end of your journey since I just barely started mine. I did have braces when I was younger though and I remember the wait to get them off seeming like it took forever.

Hang in there!!
