I cannot believe it's been a year! It went by SO fast!! And the results have been nothing short of miraculous!!!
and on a side note: Happy Mother's Day to all the braced mommy's
edit: put photos below.
BTW for those wondering. I have also been in elastics for basically 10 out of the 12 months!! It hasn't been fun but they're not horrible once you get used to them. I had a really bad crossbite and that's why I have been wearing them so long. This year flew by and normally the years fly by as it is but this year REALLy flew by! And I don't want to rush another year away but now I'm countin down the months, days, and minutes until they're off. It's been the best thing I could have ever done for myself. Already my confidence level has been boosted like you wouldn't believe. Granted sometimes I still hate smiling for photos or talking for fear I'll spit while I;m in mid conversation (which happens) but I wouldn't go back and I just tell everyone who considers it to not procrastinate for years like I did. Just do it!

20-24 months but I dare never to ask if I'm in the 20 month mark or closer to 24 mark! I just rather not know! But last visit she said that everything was going perfect and my teeth look great! So that made mem feel like I'm doing all I should be doing to get the job done on time
did you buy them cake and ice cream?
well considering it was mother's day we went out to dinner and yes I had a nice triple chocolate cake with ice cream!!!
here is my timeline beginning, 6 month progress and one year!!

Kirjax - Wow! My mouth currently looks a lot like yours did. I have a spring between my central incisor and canine to make room for my lateral incisor that is behind those teeth. It's great to see how far you've come in a year and it makes me more confident that this will work! It's only been a month, but now I can really see how quickly things can change. Thanks for posting your pics.
That's why I put together the timeline. I figure not only will it remind me of my progess but help others to see that results do happen and pretty quickly!
SunnyO you'll be amazed how fast the teeth begin to move as soon as those springs are removed. I had mine for 3 months. I couldn't wait to get them off. My gum would get caught in them. Food constantly would stick to it. The day they removed it and tied the wire to the tooth's bracket literally the tooth just popped forward like it had been waiting to do for years!
