My ortho had promised that I would be brace-free in July, but after my last appointment when he said that the molars on the right side had not closed enough it seemed my July goal was in jeopardy. I went to this afternoon's appointment prepared to hear that we would be pushing my liberation back to at least August, if not September.
I nearly leapt out of the chair when he announced that they have closed up nicely and that its time to schedule a removal date. He did say there was a little bit of a spacing issue between the upper-right molars, but that he is certain once the braces are off and the teeth settle a bit it will be just fine.
So, Friday July 11th I will bid farewell to these brackets and wires that have been my constant companion since August of 2006. I can't begin to express how excited I am to be brace-free and to see my new smile.

Congrats! I'd love to see some photos if you have them. I also got my deband date this week, but mine is a little bit later on August 1st because I am getting two different types of retainers (clear for the day, hawleys at night). I can't wait either, best of luck to you!!
