Less than 24 hours in and i have managed to snap a ligature.
Its on the tooth that is higher than all the others so its rubbing already and i put wax on it but the wax has snapped the ligature and now its got a sharp point on it.
Do i have to ring the ortho? *Embarrased this early on!*, i need to use the dental wax on the tooth anyway, can i just keep it on until my adjustment....in 6 weeks
Give him a ring. He might say just to leave it. A missing lig isn't an emergency and he might be happy to leave it till next time, but if the sharp bit is stabbing you then it's a matter of seconds for him to put a new one on.
Orthos expect their patients to need "comfort" visits from time to time, especially in the early stages when teeth move fast and you can often end up with sharp bits of wire poking out the back.
