i have just gotten my bottom braces on today after having top braces since october 31st.
yes halloween, i know how horrible.
the pain is bearable, but the thing that bugs me the most is that when i bite down my top teeth are hitting my bottom brackets and my molars are not connecting.
it makes it very hard to eat.
will this go away with time and my teeth moving?
should i see my orthodontist again because i asked him about it and he said your bite should feel less weird in a couple of days.
I just hate braces, and I want them off as soon as possible. And this just adds to my list of "things i hate about braces" lol.
bottom braces cause issues..

I can't really help you with your issue, besides saying to talk to your ortho.
That being said, I hated when my bottom braces were put on far more than my top. It seemed it made eating 10x harder with 20x more crap getting stuck in them. Plus I tore my cheeks and tongue to absolute burger. 28 more days to go.

If your top teeth are hitting your bottom brackets, you need to go back to your ortho and get molar build ups.
I had your same issues and they adhered these globs of composite strategically on my molars (on each side) so that my top front teeth don't hit my brackets....
I haven't had my molars meet not for 2 months now. Makes eating very interesting, but I'll bear it over getting a chipped front tooth.

I had issues with my upper teeth hitting my lower brackets at the beginning. My ortho ended up putting a couple of bumpers until things moved around a bit. I would definitely call your ortho to have he/she check out.

For several months my top side teeth were hitting the brackets below them on one side of my mouth. It was painful and sensitive and I just had to learn to chew on the other side. Eventually as the teeth moved, the pain went away and then the teeth also stop clashing like that.
Since this issue is with your front teeth and might be even more uncomfortable than usual, molar build ups would be a good way to go. My Ortho didn't offer me those unfortunately

I am a big bracket biter! I have had almost constant trouble since I started braces with the biting on the brackets and it has driven both me crazy and my ortho --- 3 sets of bite turbos to prove it and that still didn't cure it, only now a new wire is finally getting close to a permanent solution.
Yes, biting on brackets is bad. Call your ortho and see what can be done. I have tried waxing the bottom brackets to keep them from hitting the top and that only made my bite more UNcomfortable, so don't try that or waste your time trying it...
If you are biting them for more than a couple of days, then call. Yes, the bite can adjust itself without help sometimes. When the bite is moving the brackets can hit temporarily, as mine have, but then they started hitting harder and harder and harder.
