First adjustment 9/12

I got my braces put on July 23rd and just had my first adjustment on the 12th.. I was excited.. but now more irritated.. grr!

Well.. seriously.. when the assistant was changing the wires I felt like my teeth were about to rip out of my head.. she was having some trouble with a couple teeth... trying to force the bigger wire into the little sliding door.. then it felt like my teeth were going to break each time she closed the little sliding door things..

I originally had a powerchain on a back molar-looking tooth to rotate it because it's sideways.. but this time my orthodontist (after checking things out after the assistant girl changed the wires) decided he wanted to try and rotate the tooth from behind.. putting a button on the back of it and also a button on the back of the tooth next to it.. with a powerchain linking the buttons.. to rotate it from behind.. So now there's a powerchain behind it and a wire in front of it and I can't floss between them effectively.. Would it be more effective to move the tooth, though, if he put the powerchain back in the front and also on the lingual side? Because the front powerchain was pulling to my right side.. and now the back powerchain is pulling to the left.. so..

Wouldn't it be doubly effective to keep both powerchains? Inside and out? It makes sense to me. Is there anything wrong with doing that?

I am irritated, though, because my tongue is rubbing against it. It hurts the most when I try to spit while brushing my teeth. It just digs into it even more.

I also have a button on my impacted canine.. it has moved a good bit since getting the braces in July.. so hopefully it moves even more.

*sigh* Now I'm scared for my next appointment in late October. But.. I did just get the adjustment on Friday.. and it's Monday and my teeth are feeling much better. I've been able to eat normal foods.. just nothing super hard.. But at least I can eat even soft meats.. whereas when I got the braces I couldn't eat anything.. I thought I would die.

I also have a bad habit of clenching my teeth together because it feels good.. like when babies are teething..

But on the bright side.. the braces haven't affected my piercings.. nor have my piercings affected my braces.. good for me.. I just feel bad for hiding them from my orthodontist.. My dentist knows about them.. he has no problem, though.

Ah.. this is long.. I'm tired.. and I must go brush my teeth and stuff and get to bed.

Good night! Hopefully my next adjustment thing doesn't feel like my teeth are going to fall out.

Oh.. on the bright side.. the assistant chick and the orthodontist commented on how clean I've kept everything. :D
