Hello. I was an invisalign wearer and am in my retainers now. After I was done with treatment, my ortho put a bonded wire behind all my non molar teeth and told me to wear my last aligners only at night. Since the last top aligner was in two pieces, i ordered invisalign retainers which i just received and am now supposed to be wearing at night again.
Here's my problem. I wore my last aligners at night just like my ortho told me. When I went to pick up my new aligners/retainers and tried them in, they were extremely tight! I was in soooo much pain yesterday, and still am today. I have concluded that my teeth moved while i was waiting for them to come in, and the top teeth hurt more than the bottoms/ alot more, and that's where the broken alingers were.
My question is, how could my non molar teeth have moved with the wire bonded to them? My top middles and the teeth to the left, especially the canine hurts the worst. Also, I am worried wearing these new retainers, which are obviously pushing my teeth back into position because of the pain, because they are moving my teeth while the wires are holding my teeth! How can my teeth be moving with the wire bonded!?
I am in more pain now then I've been in during my whole treatment, and I am worried my teeth will come loose with the aligners pushing them and the wires holding them.
Please help if you know anything about this.
Should I even be wearing these retainers, which i am wearing full time now til my teeth stop hurting? I don't want my teeth to fall out!
