It Has been a month and no visible change

#1 Post by eddieb »

Hey Guys,
I got braced on Sept. 10th. My issue is that I have a lot spaces between my teeth. The first set of braces the ortho placed on are to align my teeth. Although there are plenty spaces, she did say my teeth aren't really crooked, just 2 that have to be aligned before she starts closing the gaps. So far i've seen no visible change in the alignment of those 2 teeth. Is this normal after almost a month?

Hi Eddieb

My teeth didn't move for AGES!! I was soooooooo jelous of the people on here who had movement within a couple of days.

I promise they will move eventually, (I'm sure they're moving now, its just not obvious) then just try and stop them!

I think sometimes your mouth needs to get used to the idea of having braces.

Plus, being older, teeth move alot slower.

It will happen though I promise!

My uppers moved within a week, then I got my lowers braced and expected the same thing... after almost two months nothing had happened! Luckily enough, a week before my first adjustment on my lowers they started and moved very quickly. I reckon they were just being stubborn!
