Hello everyone. I have been lurking for quite sometime seeking info on a variety of things braces related!
I will be wearing braces for the SECOND time this coming Friday the 19th. I am 33 now but also had orthodontic treatment when I was in grade school. My teeth stayed fairly straight, however, my bite did not. I have had a ton of wear on my teeth due to how my teeth meet - basically the top and the bottom teeth meet exactly on top of each other. I am ruining my teeth. My dentist said it was either braces again or veneers - I chose braces!
I had spacers put in on Friday and so far so good - much less pain than I expected. Definitely sore but tolerable.
They were unable to get the spacers into my bottom right hand side of my mouth. They said that they won't band that side of my mouth - I am concerned that this area will be prone to breakage. Maybe the bonding has come along way since I recall 20 years ago?
