Tooth sensitivity

Ok I did a little search and found a lot but not what I was looking for. I am power chained from 3-6 on top and bottom and both sides. For some reason 2 days ago I woke up and just out of no where my right upper canine tooth was extremely sensitive to anything cold. Cottage cheese, yogurt, water or anything. Is this something that I should be considerably worried about? I have my next cleaning at my dentist next Tuesday and don't know if I should just wait and see what happens between now and then or what. A little nervous and scared to be honest.

This is the object of the exercise of having braces. To move your teeth.

Since they all moved individually the wrong way round, so they will be corrected individually the right way round

What you are experiencing is normal.

I had my last adjustment 10 days ago with IPR on my uppers and I have a powerchain from 6-6 and an additional zing string from 3-3. I definitely experienced sensitivity for the first time and started using sensitivity toothpaste and it seemed to help. I probably added insult to injury by having a cleaning the same day.

Man I hope you guys are right. I am just worried. To add insult to injury my lower right power chain broke today. I must be having a bad weekend.

Call your ortho tomorrow to see if you need to come in to have your powerchain changed. It will give you an excuse to come in if your teeth are really bothering you.

I'v always had really sensitive teeth even before i got my braces so you can imagine how worrid i was about getting sensitive teeth once the braces come on. When i had my sensitive teeth issue before my braces, my dentist recomended that i start using sensodyne. it seems to have taken the edge off of the sensitivity. so you could perhaps try something like that. I still do get sensitivity but i'm convinced that if i didn't start on the sensodyne i would probably be a hole heck of a lot more sensitive then i am today.
