Are bumps in your gums normal during treatment
I know I have posted this type of question before just thought I would reword it. I'm having space being created on my uppers near my top left tooth. I'm missing that tooth so I will be fitted with a implant when my treatment is done. Anyways, I started to feel extra pressure from the movement last week and now I have a small hard lump right above my two front teeth right where my upper lip meets my gum line. Is this normal, can this be caused from the tooth being forced to move and upsetting the roots and nerves and furthermore, causing the bump? It's not painful but I do feel pressure if I push on it behind my front teeth. I know that occassional weird pains can be expected just never though I would get a hard bump from it. Any helpful ideas would be appreciated! Thank you!
I had extractions and i had something like this happen. I g uess where the teeth are closing in on the extraction site that the hard lump has been caused. It seems to have gone away now. At first I thought it was an abscess and i was very scared, but its gone away now for the most part. My ortho told me that the gums may bunch up in order to close the space but that it would even out.
not sure if same applies for creating a space but that was my experience with closing a space. HTH!
