I got a debanding date!! ~ PICS!

#1 Post by jenny101101 »

So, I went to my adjustment today and my dr. gave me a debanding date....AUGUST 17TH!! Woohoo!! That'll be 4 days shy of 18 months and my original sentence was 22. I got powerchains on top and bottom this time(I've had my finishing wires for about 4 months, I think) and he put a bend in my top wire to get that stubborn left central to come out just a bit. As long as it co-operates and two small gaps on the lower close, I'm all set to go!

I go back on July 21st for a "check" to see if all the problems are fixed so I'm keeping my fingers crossed. I think the gaps on the lower have closed a bit already but I'll be able to tell when I floss tonight(there way at the back between my 6's and 7's).

He also did a little sanding since I had one front tooth longer then the other. I thought it looked fine but now looking at my pics, it still looks too long(it my left central). How do you think it looks? Or just my teeth in general?Any feedback would be appreciated!

Ok here's some pics:

Thanks for the replies everyone! :D

uvraise: I won't forget all of you. This site has been my lifeline since getting braced!

kristi1003: I want my two front teeth a little more even in length but, as far as my pointy canines, I really like them like that so I'm not getting them filed down.

lovelyleo: Yep, retainers are sooo important. I've talked to two people who have had braces as an adult and didn't wear their retainers religiously and they've been rebraced :( . Good news is my ortho originally used Hawleys but now he uses Essix(invisilign type) so I'm excited about that. I really wasn't looking forward to have more metal in my mouth.

I don't want to wish the summer away (they're very short where I live) but at the same time....BRING ON AUGUST 17th!! lol
Keep smilin'! :)
