since my braces my bite has changed alot, i no longer can bite down normal, my bottom far left incisor is hitting my upper far left incisor before any other my teeth make contact, its also making my jaw shift. my top incisor is not connected to my arch wire yet, ( i need more room before it can move).
yesterday i brushed, flossed, and washed my mouth with pro-den rx, (the dental hydentis gave it to me to use every day before bed, its treatment for perio infections and dental decay) i had up to 5mm pockets in my back teeth. i have to say i haven't been keeping up with it. but do it every once in a while.
more importantly, after i finished i noticed that my bottom far left incisor is now loose. i can move it back and forth, and when i bite it moves down. it doesn't hurt or anything. it did move alot in the past month, now it looks like its in its final position, (my bottom teeth are now straight :> ) i couldn't sleep last night cuz i was stressing out. am i ruining the tooth by the way i bite down on it? am i going to lose it? i dont want to mess it up. plz help, thank you

My bite changed quite a bit as well and it is changing everyday. Once day I can bite down on one side and actually close my mouth the following week I cannot. I am sure that everyone is having similar issues since your teeth are being moved from a position that they have been in for many years to their eventual new spots.

If the movement of a particular tooth bothers you and it is almost in it's spot then go see you ortho but I am sure that it takes a while for the tooth to get used to their new spot. My teeth wiggle all the time especially after a wire change.

well my main concern is that, is my bite that making my tooth extra loose, can i some how damage it by always having pressure on it. its the first tooth that hits and its a small 1. im scared i can mess up the root and damage the tooth

In nearly two years now, the only two teeth that touch in my case are the top canines contacting the bottom canine brackets. All the other teeth are maybe 0.5 mm from making contacting with each other. All part of the process in my case to move them all around into position and once there, a simple matter of lowering or straightenting them all into finally postion and contact.

Don't worry about pressure or sole contact on one tooth at one time. They'll all be positioned correctly when the time is right. Some are put out of place on purpose through the course of treatment, then put back into their correct position when needed.

My bite is annoying me lately too. I have no idea if I am ever biting down properly anymore  Granted, my bite is probably the thing that needs most fixing in my case, and that won't even be more on its way to getting fixed until my lowers go on.

When I think I'm biting down properly only one of my front teeth and one of my molars touch. I, too, worry about the pressure exerted on those teeth, but in the end I think it will all work out. My bite is constantly changing and I keep reminding myself that it was bad to begin with so it should feel different than it used to.

thanks for the reply guys. i called my ortho to day the ask him about my bite and why my tooth is loose. he said a healthy tooth shouldn't come very loose, i can have a small periodontal infection in the tooth. but i dont see my gums swollen or red, theres no blood. there actually light red. i had deep cleaning about 5 months ago and hygienist said i had pockets that where 4 and 5mm on a couple teeth in the lower back. the fronts where 3 or better. i brush every day and try to floss at least 5 times a week.
he also said that it could just be moving in its position. but that tooth hasn't really moved in 1 week. then all of a sudden is loose. he said to be careful with it and he"ll take x rays next week when he gets back on the 10th. its 4th of july this week and thats why he wont be there this Friday. (makes me mad). i kinda wish i got and ortho that lives in town and at his office everyday. hes only here every friday.
i gess im scared to loose the tooth, it feels different than the other teeth. i can move it down a little with my finger, and back and forth a little more than the other teeth.

ahhhh
later, thanks again guys.
