Teeth moving & archwire placement

When did you first start noticing your teeth moving? It's been almost 1 month and I don't really notice anything at all! They are all sore so I feel that they are moving. I only really notice difference in my teeth when I eat. I've been taking pictures but it all looks the same.

Also I noticed that my archwire in the middle isn't exactly straight, its kind of bent, do you think that matters? The archwire hasn't moved at all in the middle but the lady said it will go straight with heat or something. When she put the archwire in my mouth to fit it in the middle she bent it. Do you think it's something to worry about? It's very slight not big at all and there hasn't been much movement, I figure it will try to go straight on its own like the rest of the wire.

Some offices like to put a bend into the midline area when using initial flexible wires. This will prevent the wire from sliding too much in either direction, minimizing the chance that a wire will end up poking you at the back. Shouldn't be anything to worry about :).

Good luck.

When my braces were put on in May, the ortho said your teeth have moved a little already once the braces are fitted, but it must be minimal as i couldn't see anything. I'm now 6 weeks in and there is definately movement ... some teeth more than others... goodluck

Thanks for the replies, that makes me feel better! :)

Chewing is always a different sensation so it must be doing something!

I have had my braces for over a month now, I think it has been 1 month, 1 week and 5 days. I have noticed significant changes already!
