I have had them for 9.5 months on top and almost 6 months bottom, no pain issues, no troubles with them at all.

Now i don't have any other type of braces to compare them with so i can't really say with first hand experience that they are any better then standard braces. But from my experience with them i definitely recommend them. I had very crowded teeth on the bottom and they are almost perfect now not even 6 months later with no extractions.

I've had them for a year now, and so far it's been a good experience. Not major pain, no extractions and fast movement. But I don't have any reference for comparison, so I can't say they are any better that other types of braces. I chose this ortho because I could avoid extractions and palate appliances, not because of damons. For me, the only negative part is that they are metal and not clear, a part from that, they're ok. At least for me they are working great with little discomfort. :D

Thanks for all the replies. I got mine on yesterday and it is rather uncomfortable and annoying at the same time. Eating is a you-know-what. I have a long road a-ho but am trying to stay positive and look forward to 18 or so months from now! :squareteeth:
