Composite Buttons?

#1 Post by KaylaD »

Anyone else have composite buttons to keep an overbite from biting off lower braces? I just got my lower arch set in today and they put on the buttons. The assistant said that it was the tallest button she's ever had to construct. Yay for deep overbites! :?

Now, I can hardly eat and I keep biting hard on them. Tell me it gets better!

What do orthos do to correct a deep overbite like mine?

It gets easier and easier every day as teh teeth get closer and closer toghterh. the shape meomory action of the archwire will level your arches and open your deep bite.

What are composite buttons? Where are they placed? Do they affect your speech?
