Clipped archwire

#1 Post by anaxthema »

I tried to search the boards to see if someone had already posted/commented on this topic, but I didn't find much. Archwire is a very popular word here.

Has anyone had their archwire cut short? Today at my appointment they clipped the bottom on at the right canine. I'm pretty far along treatment, finishing up elastics right now. What on earth is this for? I meant to ask when they did it, but I got caught up trying to make a follow up around the holidays, and forgot. heheh

Could it be something to do with the elastic on that side? Hmmm, the mystery begins.
