cross bite spring (pic)

Here is my first pic with braces taken the day of. Boy didn't realize how crooked my front teeth are! The molars kind of look ok though. Have a severe cross bite that is now not shown due to the bite turbos.
There is a spring that I believe is wrapped around the arch wire, but the metal piece that is tied around it falls forward. This has less pressure so not sure if it will affect my cross bite movement. Talked to the ortho and he said it will be fine either way...bizarre!
