Rubber band colors? Do they mean anything?

#1 Post by Boohill »

Are certain sized elastics a certain color or do they vary? I see many different colors. I would like to find out because then I can choose my lig color by the elastics that I will have to wear. I saw a post where someone had purple ligs with purple rubber bands. Very cute. It just makes sense. Just curious…..

I don't think they are color coded by size/strength. At least not the brand my Ortho uses.

I had the option of multi colored or "clear" in every size I needed. The multi color packs had lime green, hot pink, neon orange and purple elastics.

So if you went with one of those lig colors you'd be coordinated at least part of the time

My kids always picked the multi packs and I was boring and went with the uncolored elastics :)

Thanks Lela
I could get the multi pack and pick the colors out that match the ligs, then use the other colors in the house. Then when I run out of the matching color I could always use the clear. Can you buy more elastics or do you only get them from your ortho to be sure that you are getting the right size?
