Mouthguards for Sports?

Hi y'all!

New to the braces world, and I am looking for a good pair of mouthguards to make sure my expensive appliance doesn't take a beating while I'm playing basketball. I got one from the dentist to hold me over, but it's so hard to breathe through, and always gets stuck on my teeth when taking it out!

Can anybody make a suggestion for a good one? I saw Shock Doctor makes a double mouthguard specifically for them, and also Brain-Pad.

Thanks!

For any sport that involves potentially high impact, your best protection is a custom made mouthgard. When you use an "over the counter" mouthguard, you're taking your chances.

Get your mouthguard made by your dentist! They last a long time- I used one 5 or 6 days per week for about 7 years and it was still in good condition- I took it to the dentist to be checked every once in a while. (With my changed teeth it wouldn't fit me now).
The mouth guard will protect your head from a concussion as well as your teeth. Your head is worth the extra $$$
