My ortho told me that at my next appointment I would probably be in "finishing elastics".

Does anyone know what configuration that is? I am just curious and thought I would check to see if I could find out some more information!

I would have to guess it all depends on what your particular treatment needs in the way of finishing. I've been wearing the "finishing elastics" for the past 6+ weeks, to bring my back molars together so my bite is perfectly aligned. I wear a box config on my right back teeth and a triangle config on the left side. I also wear two triangle configs in the front to make sure that all stays in place with the back teeth are doing their thing. I was instructed to wear them 24/7 until my deband date
