NHS - Appointment changes?

#1 Post by loz876 »

I am extremely annoyed at the cnages to my appointments. Not my orthodontist, but my regular dentist. My orthodontist referred me to my dentist to have an extraction - they gave me a letter to send in the post. I actually took it in person on the same day to my dentist. A month later, they still hadn't contacted me. It was only when my mum went in for an appointment that she asked about my extraction and they had no idea, so she made an appointment. I was supposed to have the tooth out yesterday (29-03-10). I turned up and they'd told me they'd sent me a letter (which we have not received) and that they'd changed my appointment to 28th April! This is extremely frustrating - I was supposed to go to the orthodontist on 01-04-10 but now I can't because I still haven't had the tooth out.

Anyway, after that rant, has this happened to anyone else, whether at the dentist or ortho - random changing of appointments?
