hi all ive got a few questions ive recently been braced I had a fixed radiance applance upper and lower they have been on for approx 2 and half weeks. so far ive seen no changes at all (prob the norm)

however seeing some pics of other peoples braces i noticed they have a metal ring looking thing around the back tooth ? mine are just fixed to the front? with no round metal round around the tooth? I remember when i had a brace before i had the metal ring around the back tooth i was just wondering why i havnt now?

also at first they felt tight now they feel loose ? is that cause im used to the way they have set for now or is there a problem?

Could those be molar bands? I don't have them but I have seen photos of others. I think that is what they are called but I can't be sure.

Are your brackets loose or do your teeth feel loose because they are moving?

I think those are bands (not sure). I don't have them either though my Ortho said they may add them as I have crowns on 2 of the back molars and they were having trouble adhering. I am seeing movement (at 1 week) though so I don't think the lack of it would cause no movement.

Is it the bracket that feels loose? Or is the wire feeling loose? they told me the wire would be longer and such as the movement started, so maybe that's it.
