I love my braces....

#1 Post by bracedup »

Hi everyone,
I feel really happy today. I went for my first adjustment and feeling a bit sore because I now have heavier wires top and bottom. Anyway while in the chair I saw my profile pic on screen and wow what a difference 2 months have made. My teeth are looking fantastic and I could't be happier with my decision to get braced. I love my braces, I love my smile and I cant wait for the final result. :D

It's days like that when you feel it's all worth it! That's great news! Well done your teeth

Must be great to see progress - I'm really looking forward to my first adjustment in 12 days time :)

I'm with you... I love being braced. I just love looking at the improvements. It's amazing what a couple months can do.

I love my braces too, but I don't think it's about seeing improvements. I just like them and want to wear them for a long time.

This s a fabulous thread! I expressed the same sentiments to my hygienist last week and she said "You're pretty cool!" I, too, just got my new wires AND a band and it was like starting all over again with the pain (worse, even), but when I woke up this morning and looked in the mirror and saw SO many spaces beginning to show, I was ecstatic. I smile constantly now and can't wait until the next adjustment!!

Awesome thread! All too often the only things we hear about or read about are the negatives. I have been contemplating posting a similar thread over the last few days but was going to wait til my braces are on a bit longer but so far I love them and am so happy I finally got the courage to get them!

I love my braces, too. And I am the most pessamistic person alive, but in the year + with my braces I have yet to complain. I don't mind the pain, because it means my teeth are moving. In fact, I'm disappointed when my teeth don't hurt because I think they're not moving. I am SOOOO happy with my decision to get braced!

I went for my first dental checkup yesterday since having braces 3 months ago. My dentist was really thrilled about the progress so far and is so pleased that I'd gone ahead and got them after dithering for so long.
I saw the hygienist as well and had a good clean. She recommended a different interdental toothbrush so hopefully cleaning will be easier and better from now on. Going to my ortho for 3rd adjustment next week :)
