I am 47 and I am 12 months in and I am GLAD I got the braces. I had a gap in my two front teeth that when I was younger I thought was attractive because it was different. Back then it wasn't so wide but as I got older it kept getting wider and wider. I had been talking about braces for years and finally just did it and in about 6 months I will be bracefree and gap free!!

I am 42, and yes, I am glad I am going through this. I have quite a bad crossbite which has always made my face look a bit lopsided, and I am very much looking forward to that being sorted. My teeth have not been too wonky, which I guess is why I have put off treatment over the years, but it has always niggled away at me in the background. Really glad I have "bitten the bullet" (haha) and gone for it!

I am 48 and had an issue with a baby tooth, with the adult on in the middle of my palate. It was strongly suggested, by 3 different dentists, that braces were my best option. I could have done an implant, but they said the risks involved made it iffy, and they like you to keep your real teeth.

So here I am with a 2 year sentence. I pretty much hate it so far. I will be thrilled when it is over, and I am sure I will be glad I did it then, but for now, I am counting the days when this is over.

At this point in time, I still waiver from being happy with the decision to thnking, "what did I get myself into", but I know in the end it will have been a great investment and well worth the physical and emotional torture!

Hang in there!
