Can't kiss after braces

After I had the braces removed, I noticed that kissing isn't the same. When I kiss, my tongue gets trapped between my top and bottom teeth. Why is this? Is my bite too deep? It looks normal.

maybe you are not yet used to your new teeth, it's like learning to kiss again :)

Give it time, you'll be kissing normal again soon. You just have to get used to all the hardware in your mouth.

No, I don't have braces anymore. That's the point. My braces have been off for a few months now and I fear it's my new teeth position that's causing me not to be able to kiss.

Forgive me! That's what I get for reading things too fast!

Congratulations to you for getting your braces removed! I'm sure kissing will return to normal in no time. Have fun!!!

Kissing should come natural. Now, apparently, it doesn't. I don't know if I have a muscular problem or what. What I do know is that my tongue barely shoots past my teeth. When I stick my tongue out, it gets trapped between my top and bottom teeth. Actually my bottom teeth feel too tall in my mouth for one thing. Surely this isn't normal. Any idea on what happened to cause this?

lol if you want to stick your tongue out but the teeth are blocking it then just open wider.

Yeah but it's not normal for teeth to block the tongue. How do you kiss? Teeth ever get in the way of tongue? Probably not.

Of course its normal. If your jaws aren't opened wide enough then how else is it supposed to get through?

Maybe you had an open bite before and you didn't have to open you jaw much..

But even if I do open wide, when I bring my tongue back, it still makes contact with the top and bottom teeth. I guess I should go to the ortho to see what's going on...I'm sure no one else has ever heard of this.

If your mouth barely opens enough to stick your tongue out, how do you bite into a sandwich? I can open my mouth wide enough to squat my fist in there LOL..

Hmm because I guess it isn't about opening my mouth, it's about my teeth blocking my tongue.

Well I am lost as to what you are talking about. The tongue has the muscle and ability to move up, down, side to side and back and forth. If you don't have issues opening you mouth, surely you can maneuver your tongue in such a way that your teeth aren't blocking it like everybody else does.
