love my pre-braced smile better?

#1 Post by gracey82 »

Not sure if it make sense but I feel I got better smile pre-braced. My arch at my side are narrower before wearing braces and I have quite a big mouth. So when I smile now, the upper arch which has been rounded up and wider than before fill up my full mouth hence giving the impression of more protruding smile if not appear to be more 'toothy'. Also apart from the fact that i have more gummier smile than before.

I would think a more toothy smile look better however the gummy part sounds like a minus. Do you have any before and after pictures?

I was just looking at your blog but couldn't see any recent pics. It would be great if you could post some :)

I can see what you mean by a little bit of gummyness, but in my opinion, I don't even think it looks bad at all and you wouldn't even notice it unless you had pics or pointed it out.

Strangely for me, the first time I had braces (this is my second time) I actually thought I looked better with braces on than when my treatment was done haha.
