Hey fleur26, someone made a very similar thread about the same kind of thing the other day... here it is, maybe there is an answer for you there viewtopic.php?t=37310

I think certain toothpastes and mouthwashes (with a certain ingredient) can cause teeth to stain.

Do you use mouthwash? I think they are one of the culprits to cause staining of teeth.

I've been searching for one that doesn't contain Cetylpyridinium chloride as apparently this can cause staining of the teeth (Dentist can remove it). I managed to fine one in my local Sainsburys and that was a Sensodyne one.

Have you tried using a disclosing tablet just to check that you are brushing well? I do it once a week just for peace of mind as I am petrified that my braces will be removed and stains will be left behind :?

I found that the mouthwash was the culprit for my teeth staining! Now I dilute them in water before rinsing. When I got my braces, the ortho had me rinse my mouth in diluted mouthwash too....now I know why.

I have this same problem and am actually the one who made a thread very similar to this one. I can't help but wonder if my mouthwash is causing this. I use Listerine anti-cavity with fluoride (green).
