Should I see any movement yet?

#1 Post by jakshops »

Ok, I'm sure I'm expecting too much. I got my braces on two weeks ago, and they've stopped hurting yet I can't see any straightening. Will any progress be made over the next two weeks if I'm not achy anymore? I've seen some pics of incredible movement in a month or two so I'm wondering.

Sometimes you'll feel it before you see it. My bite changed a lot in the first month, but i didn't see any movement. Its just a really long waiting game. :D

my teeth have only just started to move so that it is noticeable. They felt different to me within the first month but it was never noticeable to look at. My teeth don't always hurt/ache when they move either.

I think every person is different, I noticed movement within a couple days. I've been braced for two months and there has been a lot of movement.

Do like a lot of people suggest on here and take daily pictures. You will definitely notice the slightest changes when you look back.

I saw movement in the first 5 days, sounds ridiculous but it's true (I have the pics to prove it! lol)... but I only saw that movement because I took a before pic and then a current picture to compare.

When I look in the mirror, 1.5 months in I notice the movement but nowhere near as much as when I take a photo and compare it to my before photo. So I say take some photos of your uppers and lowers and compare to a before braces pic, if you have one.

I was taking pics every few days or once a week, but I'm now going to take comparison photos every 2 or 4 weeks to compare.
