freshly braced

#1 Post by belenov »

well the anxiety and anticipation has come to an end. getting the braces put on was painless i even nearly dozed off. i have metal on my bottoms and ceramic on my top front six. except at the very last he put coils onto the front of my teeth. they feel huge. ive been swallowing painkillers regularly but the pain is quite intense. eating at present requires time, effort and a coordination between teeth, braces and lips that seem to have gone on strike. i have to admit aside from being in pain and a little freaked it is a little funny. i even have a little lisp. the understanding of what i have started is starting to dawn on me but no regrets, i am personally proud to have gone ahead. well thanks to you all for your help so far and here is to the next 18 months.

glad you had a positive experience having them put on. I got mine 2 days ago, and I didn't doze, I was a bit freaked. I got a lisp too, and eating is such an ordeal I don't even care about food much anymore.

Hi Friend! I just got my braces put on today, not much pain today, I took tomorrow off from work to gauge the pain. I work at a call center so my lisp leaving the office today was worrisome. But the more I talk, the more comfortable I feel. I am such a major foodie so my desire to snack is incredibly overwhelming but I'm fighting it.

Hope each day gets better (for both of us) and it will all be over and we'll have beautiful healthy smiles!
